Kyan Evans, a recent transfer portal visitor of the Iowa Hawkeyes, announced his commitment to a fellow Big Ten program.
Evans, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound guard that spent last season at North Carolina, is reuniting with his former coach Niko Medved at Minnesota.

On3’s Joe Tipton reported the news.
Evans averaged 4.0 points and 2.5 assists per game last year at UNC. The Kansas City native averaged 10.6 points per game in the season before that with Medved at Colorado State.
While Iowa hosted Evans, the Hawkeyes landed Ty’Reek Coleman on Friday night. That likely impacted Evans’ decision on his transfer portal destination.
Coleman, a former Illinois State guard, averaged 10.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game on 50.4% field goal shooting, 41.6% from 3-point range, and 70.2% from the free-throw line. The 6-foot-2 combo guard could factor in at either point guard or shooting guard for the Hawkeyes next season.
