Steve Kerr reveals what it's like to coach Steph Curry

Although the Golden State Warriors fell short of the 2025-26 NBA Playoffs, star guard Stephen Curry did all he could.

In two Play-In Tournament games, Curry combined for 52 points and became the NBA’s all-time leading Play-In Tournament scorer.

Following Friday’s game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke about what it’s been like to coach the former two-time MVP.

“To coach Steph Curry, who is undoubtedly the greatest face of a franchise that I’ve ever seen in any sport. He just lets me coach him, and he wants to be coached, and he’s just an incredible partner and collaborator. The only thing I’ve learned is that I’m really blessed.”

Now a free agent, both Kerr and the Warriors have a decision to make: whether or not they’ll continue their 12-year partnership.

As for Curry, he has one year remaining on his contract and will become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2026-27 NBA season.
