Forward Tabitha Betson, who spent two seasons playing at Colorado, has announced her commitment to join the Spartans for the 2026-27 season.

The 6-foot-2 Betson, a Melbourne, Australia native, started 16 of the 24 games she appeared in last season while helping Colorado to a 22-12 record and an NCAA tournament appearance. She averaged 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds and shot 40.4% from the field. More than half of the 99 shot attempts for Betson came from behind the 3-point arc.. She shot 33.9% from deep and knocked down 19-of-56 3-pointers as a sophomore.

Betson also made 13 starts for Colorado as a true freshman. She was regarded as one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2024 class and ranked No. 48 overall by ESPN.

Betson is the latest addition for the Spartans in the transfer portal. MSU received a commitment from 2025 Michigan Miss Basketball winner Anna Wypych earlier this week.
