It is early, but the Florida State Seminoles are in a good spot for one of the best recruits in the state of Florida. Aden Johnson, a four-star athlete, is one of the top prospects in the 2028 recruiting cycle and he is very interested in the Seminoles.
The Miami native spoke with Zach Blostein of Noles247 recently, admitting that the Seminoles and the Miami Hurricanes are the two programs standing out in his recruitment.

“Florida State, they still reach out to me [often] and everything,” Johnson explained. “[I talk to the] receiver coach Tim [Harris Jr.] and then the [assistant receiver] coach Brady [White]. They keep in communication with me.”
Johnson is ranked as the No. 34 overall player and No. 2 athlete in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 6 player from Florida.
FSU has been recruiting the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder since May of 2025, when they extended him a scholarship offer. He attended a Junior Day event back in January as they battle Miami for the top spot in his recruitment. It could be tough for FSU to beat the Hurricanes, who are his hometown team and were the first program to offer him a scholarship, doing so in October of 2024.
