The Crew will be featured on an alternate streaming service from their MLS schedule for their April 15 game against the Richmond Kickers in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Sixteen MLS teams will start in the Round of 32 in the U.S. Open. The Kickers sit at the bottom of the USL standings with a 0-1-4 record.
The Crew are competing in the U.S. Open Cup for the first time since 2023. U.S. Soccer changed the number of MLS teams allowed to participate from eight to 16 in 2025, but the Crew did not play after already playing in the Concacaf Champions Cup.
The Crew have competed in 24 U.S. Open Cups, with their 2002 U.S. Open Cup title being the organization’s first major championship.
Against Orlando City April 12, Crew winger Diego Rossi netted an equalizer in the 80th minute, salvaging a point for the Crew. Striker Wessam Abou Ali was stretchered off the field after the 35th minute with an apparent right knee injury. He will undergo further testing on the right knee April 13, making his status unknown for Wednesday.
