The Indiana high school softball talent on display at Deaconess Sports Park this weekend was unbelievable with a number of the state’s best teams taking part in the two-day, 96-game event.
Here are 55 individuals from the Hoosier State who stood out during this year’s event.
Shae Bailey, Tecumseh: The senior went 2-for-3 with a couple RBIs in an 8-3 win over Floyd Central.
Addison Bogunia, Penn: The senior notched a double, a triple and two RBIs in a run-rule win over Carmel.
Payten Brashear, Evansville North: Brashear’s lone hit against North Posey was a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh.
Emma Bruggenschmidt, Castle: The senior IU commit went 5-for-5 with three doubles, a homer, two RBIs and a run scored vs. Eastern Hancock. She also tripled and scored a run in a nine-inning win over Columbus North.
Madison Burlingame, Hamilton Southeastern: Burlingame went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a couple runs scored in an 11-5 loss to Crown Point. She also had a hit and a run scored vs. Reitz, and a hit and an RBI vs. Lincoln Way-East.
Elyse Coleman, Floyd Central: The Western Kentucky basketball commit went 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored in the Highlanders’ 4-3 win over Carmel. She also had a tit and a run scored vs. Crown Point and stole two bases against Henderson County.
Ashlyn Collins, Boonville: Collin had a great all-around game vs. BNL, collecting a single and a triple, stealing a base and scoring twice. She added another hit in a loss to Avon and doubled as part of a two-hit, two-run showing against Evansville North.
Adrianne Cook, Fishers: Cook drove in five RBIs and delivered the Tigers’ lone home run of the weekend. She also doubled twice and compiled a .429 average.
Aiyanna Cooper, Evansville Reitz: The sophomore was a bright spot against Brownsburg, collecting three hits and scoring the team’s lone run in a 3-1 loss. Reitz, which had the tying run at the plate in the seventh inning of that game, went 0-4 with losses to Brownsburg, HSE, Tecumseh and Carmel.
Regan Cooper, Avon: Cooper notched seven hits, including a couple doubles, scored six runs and drove in four RBIs.
Gracie Crafton, Shelbyville: Crafton struck out six and did not allow an earned run in the Golden Bears’ 8-4 win over Elkhart. She also collected two RBIs and a hit in the win. Crafton also posted a .625 average for the weekend with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs scored. She drew five walks.
Jocelyn Donitzen, Monrovia: The junior clocked three hits and scored the eventual deciding run in the Bulldogs’ 8-7 win over BNL.
Ellie Goddard, Carmel: Godard went 4-for-4 with a double in a 14-4 win over Wood Memorial. She drove in four RBIs and scored three runs in that one, then came back the next day and ripped a two-RBI triple in a 14-3 win over Reitz. Goddard also doubled against Penn.
Eva Govert, Crown Point: Govert clocked a couple hits, a run and two RBIs against Floyd Central. She drove in the go-ahead run with a fifth-inning single.
Bailey Gravens, Castle: Gravens allowed only three runs on nine hits with a walk and a dozen strikeouts in a 7-3 win over Fishers. She pitched a scoreless inning against Eastern Hancock.
Lily Greenwell, Castle: Greenwell walked off a 5-4 nine-inning win over Columbus North with an RBI single, finishing off a 5-for-5 performance that included two RBis and a run scored.
Brooklynn Hagerty, Logansport: The Texas-bound junior put on a show in the Berries’ finale vs. Tecumseh. She pitched a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and a lone hit by pitch, and provided all the necessary offense with a two-RBI double (she also drew a walk and was hit by a pitch herself). Hagerty struck out 12 and allowed only one run on three hits against Daviess County and pitched 2.2 innings of one-hit ball against Henderson County. She finished the weekend batting .300 with a homer and seven RBIs.
Charleigh Hankins, Evansville North: Hankins went 3-for-3 with a run scored in a 5-4 win over North Posey to wrap up a 2-2 weekend for the Huskies.
Breann Harris, Tecumseh: Harris drove in five runs on three hits and pitched three innings, allowing only one earned run, in a nine-run win over Reitz.
Bailey Harris-Rogers, Elkhart: Harris-Rogers drove in a team-leading seven RBIs on five hits. Elkhart lost to Shelbyville and Evansville North on Friday, then bounced back with wins over BNL and Eastern Hancock on Saturday.
Lilly Heath, Avon: Heath posted a .467 average with seven hits, five RBIs and four runs scored.
Lily Hester, North Posey: Hester was a bright spot for the Vikings, scoring four runs and driving in four more on three hits in a 20-10 win over Monrovia, their lone victory of the weekend. She also stole a base.
Jocelyn Hornett, Brownsburg: The senior outfielder delivered a critical play defensively in the seventh inning vs. Reitz, nabbing a runner trying to advance to third in a two-run game. She also had a sacrifice fly in the 3-1 win and finished the weekend with nine putouts and an assist on 10 chances in the field.
Frankie Jackson, Fishers: Jackson tossed a five-inning no-hitter striking out two and walking a couple others on 61 pitches. She also allowed two runs on three hits across four innings vs. Castle.
Morgan Jarvis, Columbus North: The speedy senior swiped five bases and scored six runs. She also picked up five hits with a .357 average.
Chloe Junkersfeld, Carmel: Junkersfield had three hits and scored a run in a 4-3 loss to Floyd Central. She drew three walks vs. Wood Memorial and had a couple RBIs in a win over Reitz.
Ashlyn Kita, Crown Point: Kita batted .573 with a double, seven RBIs and a run scored. She drove in the game-tying run in the seventh vs. Hamilton Southeastern and drew a walk, then came around to score in a comeback win over Floyd Central.
Anna Knight, Elkhart: Knight had five hits and stole five bases. She also scored four runs and drew a couple walks.
Paige Liezert, Crown Point: Liezert started the Bulldogs’ two biggest games. She allowed three runs (two earned) and struck out 13 in a win over Floyd Central, then fanned eight and allowed three earned runs in a triumph over Hamilton Southeastern.
Avery Long, Tecumseh: Long went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in an 8-3 win over 4A Floyd Central. She also had four hits, three runs and three RBIs in a 16-5 win over Evansville Reitz.
Lilly Palmer, Hamilton Southeastern: The sophomore came off the bench in the bottom of the eighth and delivered the game-winning two-RBI single vs. Tecumseh. She had another hit, drew a walk and scored a run in a 13-0 win over Reitz and clocked a couple hits and an RBI vs. Crown Point.
Emily Parker, Boonville: A senior shortstop, Parker shined in Boonville’s wins over Bedford North Lawrence and Evansville North, compiling three hits, a run and an RBI against the former and two hits (one triple), an RBI and a run vs. the latter.
Melanie Pfeiffer, Tecumseh: Pfeiffer had two hits and an RBI against Grace Swedarsky and the Hamilton Southeastern Royals on Friday night.
Kayla Pickering, Avon: Pickering slugged a team-leading .917. She notched six hits, including three doubles, a triple, six RBIs and five runs scored. She also drew a walk and was hit by a pitch.
AG Pogue, Brownsburg: Pogue clocked four hits, including a couple doubles, and drove in two RBis across her four games. She had a single and a double in four at bats vs. Kentucky powerhouse Henderson County.
Vada Riegle, Columbus North: The freshman was the team’s top hitter Friday and Saturday, batting .583 with six singles and a triple. She scored five runs and drove in a pair. Riegle had four hits in a 6-5 win over Monrovia and collected two runs and scored twice in an extra-innings loss to Castle.
Lilli Ringer, Eastern Hancock: Ringer batted a team-leading .647, totaling 11 hits over her four games with a double and a triple. She also scored six runs and drove in a pair herself for the Royals, who finished the weekend 1-3.
Alexis Rogers, Shelbyville: Rogers homered twice and collected eight hits on a .571 average. She also doubled and tripled to compile a 1.214 slugging percentage. Rogers drove in five runs, scored six herself and drew a walk. She had 12 putouts and four assists on 17 chances in the field.
Logan Rumble, Penn: The Northwestern signee was among the weekend’s top offensive performers. She homered against Logansport, went 2-for-3 vs. Daviess County, 4-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs vs. Brownsburg and 2-for-2 with two RBIs vs. Carmel.
Jaden Schofield, Bedford North Lawrence: The junior outfielder compiled a .571 average with eight hits, including a double, five runs and six RBIs. She accounted for three hits and a couple runs in an 11-7 loss to Elkhart.
Etta Schroering, Brownsburg: The sophomore logged 15 innings in the circle, and allowed only one earned run (two total) on 12 hits. She struck out nine and was responsible for both the Bulldogs’ wins.
Bailee Scruggs, Columbus North: Scruggs’ .467 average featured three doubles, four RBIs and a couple runs scored.
Audrey Seiler, Tecumseh: One of the state’s best arms, Seiler put on a show in Evansville. She struck out 14 and allowed only two runs (one earned) on four hits in an eight-inning loss to Hamilton Southeastern, stuck out 10 and allowed only two earned runs on two hits in seven innings vs. Floyd Central, then spun 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against Logansport with four strikeouts. Seiler also had a hit off Swedarsky and two hits plus an RBI vs. Floyd Central.
Kennedy Shockley, Fishers; Shockley had six hits, four RBIs and three runs scored across her four games.
Adeline Shultz, Floyd Central: The junior Arizona State commit walked off the Castle Invite finale with an RBI base hit with one-out in the seventh against Henderson County. That capped a 2-for-3, two-RBI effort by Shultz, who also pitched seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits with 11 strikeouts. She delivered a pinch hit single and scored the game-winning run vs. Carmel.
Kaeden Stewart, Floyd Central: Stewart broke a 3-all tie with Carmel in the bottom of the sixth with a double to center, scoring Schultz from second.
Chloe Stopperich, Avon: Stopperich batted .429 with six hits, two doubles, a homer, eight RBIs and four runs scored.
Cate Summerfield, Fishers: What a weekend for Summerfield who batted .750 with seven runs scored and three RBIs. The junior catcher also stole four bases and registered an assist and a double play in the field.
Grace Swedarsky, Hamilton Southeastern: The senior Virginia Tech commit was nails against Tecumseh, allowing one unearned run in the eighth inning and striking out 17 over eight innings of work. She surrendered just five hits. She struck out five and allowed three runs on six hits in four innings of work against Crown Point.
Charlie Swiger, Penn: Swiger stole three bases as part of a 4-for-4 performance against Carmel. She drove in three runs and scored thrice herself.
Scarlette Tegtman, Crown Point: The senior center fielder collected eight singles in 12 at-bats and scored seven runs. She also drew a walk and logged eight putouts in the field.
Addisyn Trackwell, Eastern Hancock: The Louisville commit batted .471 in 17 at-bats, clocking seven singles, four RBis and three runs scored. She went 3-for-5 and drove in three RBIs in the team’s 11-2 win over Monrovia.
Ava Walker, Elkhart: Walker batted .647 with 11 hits, including a double, two triples and a homer. She also drove in six RBIs and scored seven runs.
Sara Williams, Bedford North Lawrence: The Stars’ other top hitter, the senior infielder matched Schofield’s average and RBI total, but three of her eight hits were doubles. She rounded out her line with three runs.
Phoebe Wood, Penn: The senior catcher went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a couple runs scored against Logansport. She also added two hits and a run against Brownsburg and another hit against Carmel on Saturday.
