Additionally, Currie is facing six other charges that stem from what occurred during his arrest, which include:

Two people were displaced from the Avondale apartment building, according to Cincinnati District Fire Chief Mathew Rotert. Two cats were rescued but later died.

Currie put multiple families and children at serious risk of physical harm by setting a fire in a kitchen in one of the apartment’s units, according to an affidavit by Cincinnati fire investigator David Taylor.

Police officers arrested Currie on March 31. Currie drove away when officers give him commands to pull over and followed him through several neighborhoods, according to court records. Currie ran multiple red lights almost causing multiple accidents, records said.

Once he was arrested, police say they found meth, cocaine, and fentanyl on Currie. In connection to this arrest, the grand jury charged Currie with six other felony charges, including:

Currie has been at the Hamilton County Justice Center since March 31.

The Enquirer reached out to Currie’s attorney but did not immediately get a response back.
