PEORIA — An unidentified victim is in serious but stable condition after a Wednesday night stabbing.
The Peoria Police Department said officers responded to a reported stabbing in the 600 block of Romeo B. Garrett Drive at about 8:14 p.m. Wednesday. While en route, officers observed a large group gathered near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Hightower Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from two stab wounds lying in a grassy area. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Officers conducted an area search for the suspect, but no suspects were located. The incident remains under investigation.
