Dunk & Bright Furniture will officially open at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at South Town Plaza, 3333 West Henrietta Road, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shoppers can browse the store afterward, though April 10 will be the first full day of business, owner Joe Bright said.

Sneak Peek Inside the New Store

The Democrat and Chronicle recently toured the 72,000-square-foot store located at the plaza’s eastern end.

Last year, the family-owned, Syracuse-based furniture business purchased the former Burlington store space along with the adjacent monument sign, a local Henrietta landmark. The sign has been repainted but will not be completed for another couple of weeks, Bright said.

Furniture Options and Services

Dunk & Bright offers a wide range of furniture brands, from budget-friendly to high-end. About 40% of the inventory can be customized, including choices of fabric or wood finishes. Much of the furniture is made in America, with solid wood Amish pieces featured prominently.

The store also offers free in-home interior design consultations with purchases.

Expansion Beyond Syracuse

Dunk & Bright already operates stores in Syracuse and the suburb of Clay. The Henrietta location is the company’s first outside the Syracuse market, expanding its reach in the region.
