El Paso police investigate pedestrian, vehicle collision in Downtown

El Paso police are investigating a potentially fatal traffic collision involving a pedestrian in Downtown.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle shortly before 8:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5, in the area of Kansas Street and Texas Avenue, police spokeswoman Detective Judy Oviedo said in a message, adding that no one was transported to a hospital.

Nearby streets near the Wells Fargo building were blocked off by police, including Kansas Street at Mills Avenue and Campbell Street at Texas Avenue, police said.

Further details were not immediately available as the scene was under investigation by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit.
