On the heels of NASA’s immense Artemis II moon rocket launch, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket shortly after sunrise at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, April 2, from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on a Starlink broadband satellite mission.
Now, Florida space fans anticipate the pending liftoff of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket with five solid rocket boosters. This Amazon Leo 5 mission will take flight from Launch Complex 41 at the Space Force station.
ULA officials postponed the mission because of poor weather on Sunday, March 29, then said they would not try again until after the Artemis II astronauts left the launch pad. The company has yet to announce a new target date. The Atlas V will carry 29 Amazon Leo broadband satellites up into low-Earth orbit.
