Turkish dessert spot preparing to open in Holland Township

An existing sweet treat business is preparing to open a brick-and-mortar location in Holland Township.

After largely operating as a delivery-based service, Turkish dessert shop Neseli will open adjacent to Wild Chef Japanese Steakhouse in West Shore Center.

Raghad Alresheq and her husband Abrahem Aljazazy are 2-3 weeks away from launch, with signage placed at 2863 W. Shore Drive.

“We are currently in the final stages of preparation and waiting for our inspection,” Alresheq wrote in an email to The Sentinel.

Alresheq said the business will serve Turkish-style waffles and crepes, baklava, brownies, Dubai-style chocolate desserts and strawberry cups, fresh fruit cocktails, herbal drinks and coffee.

“We’re introducing a slightly different dessert experience to the area,” Alresheq wrote. “Our focus is on Turkish-style waffles and crepes, which are more rich, loaded and customizable (than) the more classic American style.

“Our goal is to create a fun, vibrant and welcoming space where people can enjoy unique desserts and drinks that feel a little different (than) what they’re used to.”

Neseli will be the second recent business to open at West Shore Center, joining a new Smoothie King.
