RICHMOND, IN — A Richmond woman convicted of criminal confinement has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Jasmin Breeze Cash, 28, had pleaded guilty to the charge, a Level 3 felony carrying up to 16 years in prison, as part of a plea agreement that includes three other counts — battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of kidnapping — dismissed.
Cash has been accused of holding another local woman against her will at a home in the 200 block of South Seventh Street last year.
She was sentenced on Wednesday, March 25, by Wayne Circuit Court Judge April Drake.
The judge ruled that Cash’s five-year sentence would be served consecutively with a four-year sentence she received for a drug dealing conviction on March 13.
According to court records, Cash had earlier convictions for possession of meth, visiting a common nuisance and leaving the scene of an accident.
