A Texas staple is expanding its footprint deeper into the South Plains, with much fanfare expected.
On Monday, March 30, Whataburger is set to open a new location in Levelland — 705 E. Texas Highway 114.
The location will house the tried-and-true flavors of the brand while also featuring a custom interior mural with iconography from Whataburger and Levelland, according to a news release.
“Operating Partner Paul Watson will lead the Whataburger team of 75 local employees, whom we call Family Members,” read the release.
The introduction of the iconic Texas franchise means there would be much fanfare, and the Levelland Police Department is expecting heavy crowds at its grand opening.
In a social media post, Leveland PD stated that it’s “excited to welcome Whataburger to Levelland” and will be present to maintain the flow of traffic and the safety of the citizens.
The flow of traffic will be as follows:
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to make this a smooth and safe opening for our community. We’re excited to see another great addition to Levelland!” reads the social media post.
