The Flying J Ranch, a longtime western entertainment icon in Ruidoso, has closed its doors permanently, according to the Ruidoso News.
The venue, which featured musical family shows and a chuckwagon dinner from May to September, along with some holiday shows, is being listed for sale by owners James and Cindy Hobbs.
“We are ready to let it go,” James Hobbs told the Ruidoso News. “It has been an incredible privilege for this to have been a part of our lives and are grateful to so many people that participated in the productions and been supportive of this business as a member of the audience.”
The property features a western-style setup of buildings, including a souvenir shop, and gunfights and horse rides when families would come up for their Flying J Wranglers shows. It includes a 500-seat enclosed dinner theater, a state-of-the-art performance stage, a large kitchen, living quarters, a wedding chapel, souvenir shops, RV spaces and more.
The price tag is $1.95 million.
