Who does Florida basketball play next in 2026 NCAA Tournament? Second round bracket update

Florida basketball’s March Madness run is still healthy as the Gators have advanced to the Round of 32 after their record-setting win over Prairie View A&M on Friday night.

Top-seeded UF (27-7) will now face No. 9 Iowa on Sunday, March 22, at Benchmark International Arena.

The Hawkeyes, which led by as many as 14 points, defeated No. 8 Clemson 67-61 after Bennett Stirtz led Iowa with a team-high 16 points. Entering the tournament, Iowa had lost four of its last five games.

Iowa’s Kael Combs also recorded 15 points, while Alvaro Folgueiras added 14 points.

Iowa went 24 of 31 from the free throw line, while Clemson was 8 of 12. The Hawkeyes out-rebounded Clemson 36-24 and hauled in 13 boards from the offensive glass.

Florida went on a 43-6 run in the first half against Prairie View A&M to cruise to a 114-55 win in its opening-round game of the tournament.

The Gators outscored the Panthers 64-10 inside the paint and recorded a season-high of 29 assists.

This is Florida’s 26th appearance in the NCAA tournament, which includes its vacated seasons, while Iowa is making its 30th appearance.
