Calallen leads big changes in Corpus Christi softball power rankings

Calallen returned to the top of this week’s Corpus Christi high school softball power rankings after an impressive win against Santa Gertrudis Academy.

Carroll jumped a spot after taking down Veterans Memorial in the first clash between the two programs.

1. Calallen (15-6-1)

Pvs. 3

The Wildcats return to the perch atop the Coastal Bend after an impressive win against Santa Gertrudis Academy.

2. Santa Gertrudis Academy (20-4)

Pvs. 1

The Lions have faced nearly every top team in the area — and beyond — and are ready to open district competition.

3. Bishop (14-7)
