The Jacksonville Dolphins (24-8, 13-5 ASUN) have their dance partners.
It was announced that No. 15 Jacksonville will face No. 2 LSU (27-5, 12-4) in their opening game of the NCAA Tournament. The Dolphins won the ASUN championship game last week and secured an automatic March Madness bid, setting up their matchup with the SEC powerhouse LSU.
The game will take place on March 20 in Baton Rouge, L.A. A time for the game will be announced at a later date.

The Jacksonville Dolphins were seeded No. 15 in Region 2 and will face No. 2 seed LSU in the opening round of March Madness.
LSU won its first 14 games this season before losing back-to-back games against two ranked teams in Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The won their next seven before dropping two of three, to top 5 teams in Texas and South Carolina. The Tigers won five more in a row before losing to South Carolina in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.

The Dolphins and Tigers actually played each other in Baton Rouge two seasons ago. LSU won the game 110-68 on their home floor.
While that game was a 42-point loss for JU, this time around LSU is favored by 44.5 points in the early line.
How far will Jacksonville go in 2025 NCAA Tournament?
The Dolphins are expected to be a first-round exit being that they’re a 15-seed.
A 15-seed has never beaten a 2-seed in the NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament since it expanded to 64 teams in 1994, with 2-seeds holding a 124-0 record against 15-seeds.
The closest attempt was in 2017 when No. 15 Long Beach State lost to No. 2 Oregon State by one point, 56-55.
