The Chicago Bears are signing former Cleveland Browns first-round offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. to a one-year contract, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
Wills was a first-round pick out of Alabama in the 2020 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he instantly upgraded Cleveland’s offensive line, starting 15 games in their return to the postseason. Wills looked like he was on his way to becoming the team’s franchise left tackle, but injuries limited him in 2023 and 2024. He played just 13 games combined those two years and decided to sit out last year to let his body heal.

Coming to Chicago, Wills has a chance to get his career back on track. He’s just 26 years old and will compete for the starting left tackle position with Braxton Jones, whom the Bears re-signed this week, while Ozzy Trapilo recovers from a torn patellar tendon.
