Manitowoc County meetings focus on budget, jail and public safety

MANITOWOC – Manitowoc County committees have a full slate of public meetings in the coming week, with discussions ranging from county finances and tax-deeded property to public safety grants, capital projects and emergency planning.

Finance Committee — Monday, March 9

4:30 p.m., County Administration Building

County finances take center stage as the Finance Committee reviews February vouchers totaling $6.81 million and gets an update on the county’s budget and year-end 2025 close.

Key agenda items include the following:

Veterans Service Commission — Tuesday, March 10

9:30 a.m., County Heritage Center

The commission will handle routine business and public comment before turning to veterans’ service benefit requests. While no specific actions are listed, the agenda allows for a closed session to review confidential financial, medical or personal information related to benefit requests.

Local Emergency Planning Committee — Wednesday, March 11
