DJ Moore says goodbye to the Bears

DJ Moore is saying one final goodbye to the Chicago Bears and their fans before he begins a new chapter with the Buffalo Bills. On Thursday, the Bears agreed to trade Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick. Moore had been rumored to be on the move this offseason due to his $28.5 million cap hit this upcoming season and will officially join the Bills when the new league year begins next week. The veteran wide receiver has nothing but love for the Bears, Chicago, and all of the fans, though.

On Thursday evening, Moore posted a heartfelt goodbye message on his Instagram before ending it with a callback to one of the most legendary moments in Bears history.

Chicago!!

I Wanna Say Appreciate all the love and support the last three years. My family and I were proud to call this place home and this community has been unbelievable to us. We will miss you all.

To the fans, you all embraced me with open arms from my first day here. I gave my all every time I stepped on the field and hopefully I made you all proud with the way I performed. We have some unbelievable memories at Soldier Field and you all are a huge part of them!!

To my Bears teammates, coaches and staff, I enjoyed going to work with you every day. I’ll miss seeing you all at Halas Hall. You all made me grateful every day to be a Chicago Bear!! I Appreciate you all.

& It’s Always F……

In three seasons with the Bears, Moore totaled 244 receptions for 3,012 yards and 20 touchdowns. Though his production dipped in 2025, catching just 50 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns, Moore made multiple highlight plays with quarterback Caleb Williams to help propel the Bears to an 11-6 record to capture the NFC North.

His 46-yard walkoff touchdown against the Green Bay Packers will forever be remembered, including his postgame comments about the Bears’ rivals. Moore then followed that up with the go-ahead score against Green Bay in the wild card comeback win, cementing himself in Bears lore. Bears fans—and Moore—won’t forget those moments.
