The FSU Seminoles are locking in a ton of spring visits for the next couple of months. After hosting linebacker prospect JT Austin during a Junior Day weekend in January, Florida State will do so again on April 13, per Noles247.
Last November, Austin made his first appearance on campus when he took an unofficial visit when the Seminoles beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Two days later, Austin was extended an offer from the program.
Austin’s junior campaign was a successful one at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia. He finished with 57 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks playing both linebacker and edge. Austin was also productive as a sophomore in 2024 when he registered 42 tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
Florida State likes Austin for the Jack linebacker role in Tony White’s 3-3-5 scheme. It’s a hybrid linebacker/edge position that operates as a pass rusher who will also drop back in coverage.
Austin isn’t currently ranked on any major recruiting sites.
