The Florida State Seminoles are recruiting some of the top players in the 2028 recruiting class, and one of their top targets is five-star offensive lineman George Selvie III, who is from Riverview, Florida. Offensive line coach Herb Hand is leading FSU’s pursuit, and he has made quite an impression.
Selvie was discussing his recruitment with Brian Dohn of 247Sports and revealed that the Seminoles and Ohio State Buckeyes are standing out to him.
“Those are the top schools I really like,” he said. “I like their O-line coaches. FSU really recruits me well. Those are the schools I really like.”
He is the No. 14 overall player and No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 6 player from Florida.
FSU has been recruiting him since May of 2025, when they extended him a scholarship offer, becoming one of the first power programs to do so. While his recruitment still has plenty of time left, Selvie does know what he is looking for in a school.
“I am looking for a good O-line coach that is going to help me get to the next level, will help build myself up to get to the league,” he said. “It’s ultimately where I want to go. It’s all about development.”
