Under the terms of the grant, the foundation plans to give the college $4 million in unrestricted funds for operations and student financial aid, the release says.

For the rest of the $3 million in grant funds, two-thirds of it would be set to be used as seed money for housing staff and one-third of the funds would be slated for renovations in student housing, the release says.

The foundation has funded student housing as well as other campus buildings in the past, the release adds.

Founded in 1971, the four-year small college has two campuses in California and New England, according to the college’s website. Combined, the college is composed of a little over 560 students from across the country and over a dozen countries. It has 58 faculty members and boasts a student to faculty ratio of 1:11.

The California campus is expansive, with 845 acres, and the the New England campus is 110 acres, the website says. Ten percent of its graduates have entered priesthood or religious life.
