A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck over the weekend off the Southern California coast near Catalina Island.
The earthquake occurred at 9:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 14 miles south-southwest of Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles County, the U.S. Geological Survey Reported.

The quake was felt mainly in Los Angeles and Orange counties, and on the island, according to authorities.
There were no reports of injuries and damage.
