If the Jacksonville Jaguars want to address the cornerback position in free agency, what might GM James Gladstone have to spend?
The Jaguars enter the offseason with a need at outside cornerback. Even with Travis Hunter taking on a full-time role on defense, with Montaric Brown and Greg Newsome both set to be free agents, the starting outside role opposite of Hunter is currently available.
However, while this is a need, there does seem to be a pretty clear path to addressing it as well.
If Gladstone addresses cornerback in free agency, which perhaps could include re-signing Brown, and then uses a top 100 pick to further bolster this unit, then the Jaguars should be positioned well at cornerback heading into 2026.
Also still on the roster this season at cornerback are Jourdan Lewis and Jarrian Jones.

In terms of spending power, the Jaguars rank near the bottom of the NFL in salary cap space currently. However, Gladstone has the ability to create quite a bit more space, if he wants to push current cap charges to future years.
