Many fans may think Stephen gave Lucy the tape because he felt remorse or empathy, Decider writes. But series creator Meaghan Oppenheimer told the site she believes he is just so “disgusted” by seeing her grovel that it’s “no longer fun” to hold the tape over her head.
“There’s no shame anymore. She’s giving up, and she’s saying, ‘Just release it,’ and it’s taken the fun away from him. I think that’s where his head is at. That’s how his psyche works,” Oppenheimer stated.
Will there be a season 4 of ‘Tell Me Lies’?
Hulu has yet to renew “Tell Me Lies” for season 4, per Decider. Oppenheimer told the site most shows “do well with three seasons.” She added that the “Tell Me Lies” season 3 finale is the ending she had in mind from the beginning.
But, she also stated that things could change and that she “can’t confirm anything” right now.
“We are all just so focused on this season right now. I’m not sure,” she said.
