FORT WALTON BEACH − A 74-year-old female pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Feb. 14th near Bluewater Boulevard at Caribbean Way.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, here is what we know:
When did the crash happen?
About 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 14.
Where did the crash happen?
Bluewater Boulevard at Caribbean Way.
What vehicle was involved in the crash?
A sedan.
Who was involved?
Driving the sedan was an 86-year-old woman from Niceville. The pedestrian was a 74-year-old woman from Niceville.
How did the crash happen?
According to the FHP, the 86-year-old driver was northbound on Bluewater and the 74-year-old pedestrian was walking northbound on Bluewater within the pedestrian lane. The vehicle driver drifted into the pedestrian lane, striking the pedestrian.
The driver was not injured.
