PEORIA – The big day has arrived for a new Yemeni coffee shop.
Matari Coffee Co. welcomes the community to its first Peoria location with a soft opening on Friday, Feb. 13.
Since starting in 2022, Matari Coffee Co. has expanded to include 11 locations, with nearly three dozen storefronts in the works, according to founder and CEO Sadeq Almatari.
He said the upscale café is a space for any occasion – from family outings and first dates to study sessions and remote work. The goal, Almatari said, is to be a welcoming space for all.

Where is the shop located?
Matari Coffee Co. is situated in Willow Knolls Court at 4100 W. Willow Knolls Drive, Suite C2.
When is Matari Coffee Co. open?
The storefront will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during its soft opening.
Almatari expects to eventually expand the hours to open at 7 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. or midnight – depending on staffing and demand.
