The Michigan High School Athletic Association is currently slated to host its girls basketball state finals at Michigan State’s Breslin Center on March 19-21.
But that location could change.
With the Michigan State women’s basketball team in contention to host the opening rounds of the NCAA tournament during the same weekend, the MHSAA could be forced to shift venues for its championship weekend. The MHSAA announced Thursday, Feb. 12 that Western Michigan will host the finals should they be moved.
The MHSAA anticipates making a final decision at the end of February for the location of the girls basketball finals.
