Miles of Michigan 28 are closed in Marquette and Alger counties after multiple cars have crashed in the snowy conditions on Friday, Feb. 6, according to police.
East M-28, from Kawbawgam Road to Munising Avenue, was closed Friday afternoon “due to white-out conditions and multiple accidents,” according to a Facebook post from Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon, Feb. 6.
The Michigan Department of Transportation posted on X that the closure is for both eastbound and westbound M-28 between U.S.-41 and M-94.
Michigan State Police Eight District also posted on X about the closure, saying, “multiple crashes and bad road conditions have been reported.”
