Drake women's basketball fall at home to Murray State

Abbie Aalsma scored 24 points in Drake women’s basketball’s 89-88 home loss to Murray State on Jan. 25. Aalsma’s shot at the buzzer missed to cap a back-and-forth affair that saw 10 lead changes.

Quinn Vice added 18 points for Drake, which fell to 6-13 overall and 5-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Maggie Taylor added 15 and Anna Becker 13.

Waterloo West alum Halli Poock led Murray State with 26 points. The Racers outscored the Bulldogs 28-16 in the fourth quarter and won despite shooting 2-of-18 from 3-point range.

Murray State is 17-3 overall and 8-1 in the MVC.
