Tip-off for the Iowa State-Oklahoma State men’s basketball game is being moved up an hour. The Big 12 Conference matchup will now begin at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The game will still be streamed on Peacock.
The time change stems from Winter Storm Fern, which is expected to sweep through the South, Midwest and Northeast regions of the United States. The National Weather Service expects the storm to hit Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Friday night and the inclement weather is predicted to last through Sunday, bringing up to 12 inches of snow and freezing temperatures to the area.
The switch was announced by the Big 12 Conference on Friday, Jan. 23.
No. 9 Iowa State (17-2, 4-2 Big 12 Conference) is coming off of an 87-57 win over UCF on Jan. 20.
Oklahoma State (14-5, 2-4) has lost four of its last six games, including its previous outing. The Cowboys squandered a late lead, as TCU finished the game on a 10-0 run to win 68-65 on Jan. 20.
The Cyclones have an opportunity to finish the regular-season series sweep of the Cowboys. Iowa State won their previous meeting on Jan. 10, defeating Oklahoma State, 83-71, on Jan. 10 at Hilton Coliseum.
Iowa State lost its previous two road trips to Gallagher-Iba Arena and is in search of its first road win over the Cowboys since an 84-81 overtime win on 2022.
