The Plaza Theatre was recognized by Billboard Magazine as its top venue in 2025.
The historic landmark was ranked No. 22 in the world for top venues with a capacity of 2,500 or less, according to a post by El Paso Live.
The Plaza Theatre also took the number one spot in Texas, the post said.
“This global recognition highlights the year of performances at the Plaza Theatre, featuring a dynamic calendar of Broadway productions, nationally recognized musicians, and stand-up comedy, reinforcing its reputation as one of the premier venues in the Southwest,” El Paso Live posted.
The Plaza Theatre grossed $6 million in 2025, hosted 75 shows and drew 97,600 attendees, according to a Billboard Magazine graphic shared by El Paso Live.
The top spots for venues under 2,500 capacity went to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Encore Theater at Wynn in Las Vegas and DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
