The fire was first reported around 4 p.m. Dec. 15 at a house in the 3300 block of Northside Road, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was called due to “firefighting safety concerns with a potential explosive hazard,” fire officials said via social media.
The bomb squad searched the property but found no explosive materials, sheriff’s department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel said.
“Bomb/Arson deputies conducted an area check of the property after the fire was out but did not locate any explosives.
While searching the remnants of the burned structure, firefighters found an adult victim dead inside, according to the agency. The victim was yet to be positively identified by coroner’s officials.
“Our condolences to the family,” the fire department stated.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
