Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow might have a limp, but the team isn’t going to shut him down.
According to WLWT’s Jaron May, Burrow had a notable limp at Paycor Stadium on Monday, the day after the loss to the Baltimore Ravens that dashed the team’s playoff hopes for good.
Speaking with reporters, though, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor made it clear that the team would not be choosing to shut down Burrow for the season.
The reason? Burrow wants to win.

On the same day the Washington Commanders chose to shut down quarterback Jayden Daniels for the final three games of the season, the Bengals won’t do the same with Burrow.
The obvious concern with Burrow is the fact he came back early from the Grade 3 turf toe at all this year. Now, exposing him to injury over the final three games while eliminated is a risk, to say the least.
As for the limp, no further comments on the topic, but it was pretty notable near the end of the game on Sunday, too, so it’s something to watch.
