The Green Bay Packers’ inactive list for their Thanksgiving Day clash with Detroit Lions features six injured players, including linebacker Quay Walker and rookie receiver Matthew Golden.
Matt LaFleur’s team ruled out defensive end Lukas Van Ness, defensive tackle Karl Brooks and receiver Savion Williams with lingering lower body injuries on the final injury report released Wednesday. Joining them on the inactive list are Walker and Golden, who will miss their second straight games, and cornerback Nate Hobbs, who is out for the fourth straight game.
The only healthy scratch on the Packers’ inactive list is backup offensive lineman Donovan Jennings.
Running back Josh Jacobs and cornerback Keisean Nixon are active — Jacobs is returning from a knee injury, while Nixon is up after suffering a stinger injury just four days ago.
Packers inactive list
The Packers will be thin up front on defense without Van Ness and Brooks, likely leading to more snaps for Kingsley Enagbare and rookie Warren Brinson. At receiver, the Packers will roll with Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Malik Heath as the top four options. Thursday is a big spot for Isaiah McDuffie and Ty’Ron Hopper at linebacker against Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
Active are receiver Will Sheppard, linebacker Jamon Johnson and defensive back Jaylin Simpson, who were made available by roster moves made on Wednesday.
Lions inactive list
The Lions will be without an All-Pro in the secondary (Joseph), a starting center (Glasgow), a starting tight end in a post-Sam LaPorta world (Wright) and a top returner (Raymond). Active are offensive linemen Penei Sewell, Tate Ratledge and Taylor Decker and cornerback Terrion Arnold.
