A 36-year-old Venice man was killed Nov. 7 in a one-vehicle crash, state troopers say.
A 2019 Subaru was traveling west on Flamingo Road in Sarasota County at 6:35 p.m. at a high rate of speed, east of the intersection of Crystal Road, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The driver failed to maintain control and the Subaru traveled over the opposite lane, exited the roadway, collided with a concrete culvert and overturned. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
