According to plans submitted to Florida’s Department of Business & Professional Regulation on May 1, the Atlanta-based fast-casual restaurant is proposing a restaurant at 628 Atlantic Blvd., Suite 3, in the former 3 Natives spot at the Publix-anchored Seminole Shoppes.

There, it will join the recently opened Jeff’s Bagel Run, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Chipotle, Renna’s Pizza and Tokyo Ramen & Sushi Burrito.

Founded in 1997 in Destin, Florida, Tropical Smoothie Cafe now has more than 1,600 locations across 44 states. In Jacksonville, Tropical Smoothie operates 21 cafes, from Yulee to St. Johns, with additional restaurants in Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine.

In addition to its signature smoothies, Tropical Smoothie offers a large selection of better-for-you flatbread sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, salads and tropic bowls.
