Kids’ retailer The Children’s Place will open an Altoona store at The Outlets of Des Moines.
New Jersey-based chain, which includes the Gymboree brand, has almost 500 stores across North America, including at Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines and Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City.
It will join the open-air mall’s collection of more than 50 stores, including Eddie Bauer, Gap Factory, Levi’s Outlet Store, Under Armour and Victoria’s Secret.
The Children’s Place will sell “stylish” T-shirts, shorts, swimwear, dresses, skirts, pants, school uniforms and other kids’ apparel, according to a news release. The 5,000-square-foot store will be located between the Gap Factory Store and the Famous Footwear Outlet, said Christie Kozak, a spokesperson for The Outlets of Des Moines.
