The regular season of the 2025 Section 1 girls volleyball season ended Thursday and Friday, the brackets were revealed for the Section 1 tournament.
The Road to the NYSPHSAA volleyball championships begins with the Section 1 championships. That tournament starts on Tuesday Oct. 28 with the Class AAA first round games. Class AA, A and B join the tournament with their first round games. The Class C tournament begins on Friday, Oct. 31 with their quarterfinal games. The Class AA, A and B quarterfinals are Saturday, Nov. 1. The semifinals are Nov. 5-6. This year’s Section 1 championships will be back at the Westchester County Center on Nov. 8-9.
The top seeds in the 2025 tournament include the reigning Class AAA and AA champions John Jay-East Fishkill and Horace Greeley. Lakeland earned the top seed in Class A. Valhalla is the top seed in Class B for the second straight season. North Salem earned the top seed in Class C.
