USC football used last week’s home game against Michigan as a massive recruiting spectacle. The Trojans hosted numerous high-profile recruits on campus, including five stars in both the 2026 and 2027 recruiting cycles.
It did not take long for USC’s recruiting efforts to pay off. Earlier this week, the Trojans picked up a commitment from junior college cornerback Jakwon Morris. Morris was one of the many recruits to visit USC for the Michigan game last weekend.
Morris comes to USC from Northwest Mississippi Community College. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 16 overall JUCO player in the class of 2026.
“Great time. I loved it, and everything was authentic,” Morris told Scott Schrader of On3 following the visit. “They made me feel wanted and not just an option.”
This year, USC found a gem from the junior college ranks in running back Waymond Jordan. It appears as though the Trojans are trying to replicate that strategy for 2026 as they look to add to their already loaded recruiting class in the cycle.
