Palm Beach's Henry Morrison Flagler Museum to host inaugural Fall in Whitehall, Oct. 18

Promising fun activities, tasty treats and music the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum will host its inaugural Fall at Whitehall event Oct. 18.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Flagler Kenan Pavilion, families can join a variety of activities planned for the day or tour the Gilded Age era Mansion commissioned by the Standard Oil co-founder, according to a Flagle Museum release.

“This festival is a unique opportunity for families to experience the Museum in a whole new way — through the lens of tradition, community, and seasonal celebration,” said Jenna Hoogstra, director of education at the Flagler Museum, in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome families to make new memories while connecting and celebrating the history of the Gilded Age.”

Those celebrations include Gilded Age-inspired outdoor and indoor like ring toss, corn hole, croquet and lawn bowling.

Those not wanting to break a sweat can enjoy a list of arts of crafts activities including painting fall wreaths and making stain glass apples.

At 11 a.m., Palm Beach Day Academy’s young choir will take the Pavilion floor for a performance.

Hungry guests can peruse through a selection of autumn-inspired treats.

Fall at Whitehall is the first event in the Museum’s new Flagler Museum Family Days series; a programming of family-friendly events geared to younger audiences with interactive activities. On Dec. 13, the series continues with All Aboard Whitehall, and on March 14 with the craft-centric Whitehall in Bloom event.

Admission to Fall at Whitehall is included with purchase of a museum ticket and free for museum members. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Guests can register early at www.flaglermuseum.us/program/fall-at-whitehall.
