Elite FSU commit is 'locked in' with the Seminoles

The Florida State Seminoles are on a three-game losing streak and searching for answers after their great start to the season. The 0-3 start in conference play has rivals working to flip FSU’s commits, and while one is visiting elsewhere, Xavier Tiller is not worried about the Seminoles.

Tiller, a four-star tight end prospect from Fairburn, Georgia, is one of FSU’s top commits and was actually in Tallahassee for their loss to the Pitt Panthers. He spoke with Zach Blostein of Noles247 after the visit and compared the current season to 2022, when they won out and sparked the 2023 season.

“Despite the loss, that’s a part of football. That’s football. Because remember what happened in 2022? They got them three losses and then came back and got them wins. So I’m not really worried about that, I’m just here to play ball for real,” he said.

He told Blostein that other schools are “not really” trying to flip him, and he is “really locked in with FSU.”

Tiller is ranked as the No. 155 overall player and No. 9 tight end in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 21 player from Georgia.

He is one of two tight ends that FSU has committed in its 2026 recruiting class after they flipped Corbyn Fordham from the Ohio State Buckeyes. They have 25 total commitments and are working to add more and hold onto their current commitments during their slide.
