Travis Hunter had a quiet outing in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 20-12 Week 6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The rookie, and No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, tallied four receptions for just 15 yards, averaging just under four yards per catch. He was targeted seven times, second most on the team behind Brian Thomas Jr. (10); however, his counterpart was able to haul in eight receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.
He set a season high in receptions, despite recording his lowest receiving yards of the season.
Hunter also had a critical offside penalty called, which negated a 54-yard Thomas Jr. receiving touchdown. The Jaguars were eventually forced to punt and lost valuable points that would have changed the trajectory of the game.
Once again, Hunter also spent time at cornerback as well as at receiver.
On defense, the rookie played 22 snaps and allowed two receptions for 18 yards on four targets, according to PFF.
While Hunter has not been perfect on defense this season, he has yet to allow a touchdown this season, and still has the stamina to be one of Trevor Lawrence’s favorite targets on offense.
