The Cincinnati Bengals drew criticism from Monday Night Football’s Joe Buck and Troy Aikman after a delay-of-game penalty as they prepared to punt during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High on ABC’s Monday Night Football.
“I mean yes, you don’t have Joe Burrow, but this is the stuff you can control,” Buck said during the broadcast. “This goes into coaching and getting a little bit more jump to their stuff. This is not a good look for the Bengals here in the first half.”
“No, it’s not,” Aikman added. “And Joe Burrow does not play on the punt team.”
The Bengals allowed the Broncos’ second touchdown of the game a short time later.
