Hank Brown has entered the Iowa football game vs. Indiana in relief of starting quarterback Mark Gronowski, who injured his lower left leg after being tackled early in the fourth quarter.

Brown is Iowa’s new backup quarterback for the 2025 season, earning the spot behind Gronowski.
He transferred to Iowa from Auburn during the offseason and is a redshirt sophomore. He is listed at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds and is a right-handed thrower.

Where did Hank Brown play before Iowa?
Brown spent the first two seasons of his college career at Auburn. He started two games, against New Mexico and Arkansas.
His first game action came in 2023 against Maryland in the Music City Bowl.
Where is Hank Brown from?
Brown is from Nashville, Tennessee, where he attended Lipscomb Academy.
As a high school player, Brown was an All-State honoree and led the Mustangs to a 13-0 record and the 2022 Tennessee D2-AA state championship under coach Trent Dilfer, a former Super-Bowl-winning quarterback.
Brown, as a senior, threw for 3,264 yards and 47 touchdowns (fifth in Tennessee state history) with a 73.3 completion percentage, according to the team’s website.
