TCPalm Girls Athlete of the Week (Sept. 15-20)
Cross Country: Emerson Brinn, South Fork – The senior won the Spanish River Invite (Class 3A/4A) after crossing the finish line with a time of 18 minutes, 34.0 seconds.
Volleyball: Emelia Glover, Martin County – The senior outside hitter connected with 16 kills, seven digs and two aces during the Tigers’ four-set win over Wellington.
Volleyball: Ella Gravlee, Vero Beach – The junior outside hitter blasted 37 kills to go with 13 digs, three blocks and two aces during Vero’s five-set win over South Fork.
Bowling: Rachel Kramer, South Fork – The Bulldogs junior rolled a high game of 202 against Port St. Lucie.
Volleyball: Kaylee Maikranz, John Carroll Catholic – The senior libero totaled 24 digs during a pair of Rams victories. Maikranz posted 15 digs against Fort Pierce Central.
Swimming: Braelyn McCall, Lincoln Park Academy – McCall set the school record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.57 during the IRSC TOI meet. She placed second in the event to help the Greyhounds earn an area-best fifth overall.
Golf: Adyson Millican, Sebastian River – The junior took medalist honors in a match against Fort Pierce Central with a 1-over-par 37 from the Indian Hills Golf Course.
Diving: Maddie Newman, Jensen Beach – The senior was victorious at the 1-meter dive during the IRSC TOI meet with a score of 216.9 to help the Falcons finish seventh overall.
Cross Country: Jacquelyn Perrin, St. Edward’s – The sophomore finished as the runner-up at the Spanish River Invite (Class 1A/2A) with a time of 19:22.8.
Swimming: Keyda Sagastume, John Carroll Catholic – Sagastume broke the school records in the 100 and 200 freestyles, placing second in each event to help the Rams take seventh overall at the IRSC TOI meet. She swam the 100 with a time of 55.13 and finished the 200 in 1:59.99.
Golf: Darci Wagner, Vero Beach – The senior shot recorded an even-par 36 to pick up medalist honors in a match against Vero Beach from the Sandridge Golf Club. She followed that with a 10th-place finish at the South Florida PGA East Invitational as Vero Beach finished fourth overall from the Willoughby Golf Club.
