After a week away, it is time for the No. 9 Florida State Seminoles (2-0) to play some football.
They are welcoming the Kent State Golden Flashes to Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday in what is another sell-out for what should be a beautiful day. The Seminoles will be looking to keep the offense humming after two strong showings to start the season.
The defense has also been excellent, controlling the line of scrimmage in both games and setting the tone with its physicality. Both units have plenty of room to improve as they continue to adjust to new systems, especially on defense.
Kent State is 1-2 to start the season and is looking to snap two losing streaks. They have not won a road game or beat an FBS opponent since 2022, they went 1-23 in the 2023 and 2024 seasons combined. Despite their struggles, FSU can’t afford to look past them.
