Ottawa County has 14 issue items on the Nov. 4, 2025, general election ballot.
Continuing levies
● Allen Clay Joint Fire District has two millages on the ballot. The first is a replacement millage for 5 mills for fire equipment. The second is an additional millage for 3 mills for maintaining fire. Both are continuing millages commencing in 2025.
● Clay Township (excluding Genoa) has a replacement millage for 4.3 mills for maintaining police and EMS. It is a continuing millage commencing in 2025.
● Genoa Area Schools has 4.3 mill, a continuing millage levy commencing in 2025.
● The City of Port Clinton has a .04% income tax increase on the ballot for the fire department and its general operations, maintenance, new equipment and capital improvements. The tax would commence after Jan. 1, 2026.
5-year levies
● Mid-County Joint Ambulance has an additional levy of 3 mills for ambulance and EMS services, commencing in 2026.
● Allen Township has a renewal levy of 0.75 mills for maintenance of cemeteries, commencing in 2026.
● Harris Township has a renewal levy of 1.3 mills for cemeteries, commencing in 2025.
● Benton Township has a renewal levy of 5.5 mills for current expenses, commencing in 2026.
● Put-in-Bay Township has a renewal levy of 0.75 mills for EMS, commencing in 2026.
● Put-in-Bay (South Bass) has a renewal levy of 0.8 mills for maintenance of South Bass Parks, commencing in 2025.
● Put-in-Bay School District has a renewal levy of 0.5 mills for recreation purposes, commencing in 2025.
● Put-in-Bay (North Bass) has a renewal levy of 3 mills for maintaining a refuse site, commencing in 2026.
● Put-in-Bay (Middle Bass) has a renewal levy of 3 mills for road maintenance, commencing in 2026.
